Considering selling my Golf GTI Clubsport in favor of upgrading my home.
This is the car for those who want that little extra. The car has fantastic driving characteristics and constantly puts a smile on their face when driving. The car is a No. 2 and is therefore in the garage most of the time, but a trip when the weather is nice happens from time to time. We had the car for a trip down to the Nürburgring in early May, this was a fantastic experience and the car was made for this trip. The car was comfortable on the trip to and from, but showed its true driving characteristics on the "ring".
A few facts about the car:
This is car No. 11/11 that Møller imported. What distinguishes a Clubsport from "standard" GTI versions is roughly that it is equipped with a similar engine to that found in the Golf R, it has a completely different gearbox, it is 10mm lower, it has a distinctive front bumper and roof spoiler, it has a standard black roof and it is the only version that comes with the option of sports seats/bucket seats (+ some minor details). As standard, this produces 265hp, but has a power boost up to 290hp for 10 seconds at full throttle from 3rd gear and up.
Modifications made to the car:
-Lowering 25mm with H&R springs (written in the vehicle registration, originals included).
-Stiffening stabilizer bar from H&R (written in the vehicle registration, originals included).
-Air steering from Golf-GTE (Original included).
-Air filter box somewhat modified inside (Original included).
-Lid for air filter box with filter from DO88 (Original included).
-Upgraded intake hose/pipe between air filter box and turbo (Original included).
-Upgraded brake discs front and rear (equivalent standard dimension).
-Upgraded brake fluid, Ferodo FRF340.
-Upgraded brake pads front, Ferodo 3.12 (included, original pads are on now).
-Upgraded with O.CT step 2.
Furthermore, it can be mentioned:
-Changed oil on gearbox and differential, km 62093.
-Regular oil change on engine, last at km 62093.
-Changed cabin filter, km 62093.
-Four wheel sets:
One with original rims (19" bald on one tire and some edge wear)
A set of winter tires (18" less neat rims).
